Planting Season Again!

Alright so this is the second year that I have had my outdoor herb garden. (Before that it was about 25 plants in pots). I have four beds (2 4x4's and 2 6x4's) that are just for herbs. Thankfully, some of my plants actually come back/stayed this year. (Balm, 3 Catnips, 2 Sages, Lemon Thyme, Pennyroyal, Parsley, Spearmint, Peppermint, Apple Mint, Chocolate Mint, 3 Rosemary, and a partridge in a pear tree). This makes my life easier. And yes, I do actually use all of these things and more in my cooking and teas throughout the year lol.

So I didn't have to plant too much this year. I decided to put my first 'wave' out a couple days ago. (Just last years leftover seeds, because I'm still seed hunting)

So for this first 'wave' I put out: flat leaf italian parsley, regular curly leaf parsley, sage, coriander, caraway, Anise, Lavender, Cat Nip, Oregano, Dill, and Chives (Multiples of each for higher success). I have them in about 20 mini pots (seen above) on my wire shelves outside. I was SO worried about the wind though. (Yesterday it blew so hard I found my outdoor cat's bowl half a block away!). So my dad and I came up with a solution; we place the pots in 4 different heavy duty milk crates on the shelves. (They haven't budged an inch!)

Let's hope in thirty days I will have something to show lol.

Other seeds I will be sowing: Basil (3 types), Stevia, Plain Thyme, and Savory. (Possibly a few more!)

Other than Herbs: I have about 8 Garlic bunches going (can't take it till September) and onion sets in the ground.

The next big step in the garden will be the veggie bed my dad and I have in the works soon. Can't wait! It will be interesting! (I've never grown veg before, but I'm dying to learn).

Peach without peaches!

Jenn factoid: I love girly stuff like the color hot pink. The pencil set that I write with everyday is hot pink polka dotted, and glitter covered. And I <3 it!
